This is where you are formally told what the charges and the court will enter a plea of not guilty for you and give you a date to come back for a pre-trial conference or pre-trial hearing if you case is in the Circuit Court of Maryland.  In the District Court where DUI / DWI cases typically start out, there is no arraignment rather a pre trial or pre release information.
